DAN MARTIN:
Dan Martin is a lifelong race fan and resident of the Capital Region. He started going to the races as a youngster and hoped to someday be a racer himself. His racing career would start as a teenager, racing flat track motorcycles across the state of NY through his high school years. Continuing as fan, he also followed the Grand National Circuit around the country with the motorcycles.

Later in life he would leave the two-wheeled scene to become involved in Stock Car racing. As a devoted fan, Dan has been to Daytona Speedweeks every year since 1984 and traveled the circuits with some years taking in over 100 races.

As a competitor, Dan had a brief stint in the Mini-Modified Division in 1985, then became a regular in the Pro-Stock division at The Albany Saratoga Speedway in 1986 when he was named the Rookie of The Year in that division. He would come back the next season and win the Pro-Stock Track Championship at Albany Saratoga and place as runner-up in the Silver Crown Series that took place at Albany Saratoga, Airborne Park Speedway in Plattsburgh and Devils Bowl Speedway in Fair Haven, Vt.

In 1989, Dan moved to the Sportsman Division and to the Fonda Speedway where he competed a full season before hanging up his helmet due to the financial strain of running his own race team.

That led to a venture in Race Track Announcing where he started at Lebanon Valley Speedway in 1990 and continues to this date. Dan is also the announcer at Albany Saratoga Speedway where he has been since 1989. He has also migrated back to his passion of Motorcycle racing as he has been the announcer for the Electric City Riders Motorcycle races since 2006.

Martin is quick to tell you, “Race people are real people, passionate about everything they do. And without them, my world just goes in circles.”

MARK KROSKY:
Mark Krosky, better known as "Krash", is the co-host of UP TO SPEED which focuses on the Capital Districts dirt tracks. He is the Assistant Race Director at "The Great Race Place" Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Friday Nights.

Krosky was born and raised in Colonie. For 3 years, he was the host of the "Speedzone Motorsports Show" which was on the radio in Amsterdam.

Krash owns a body shop in Clifton Park called "Krash Menders" which he established 24 years ago.
