Brian Sinkoff
Brian Sinkoff is the host of “Sound-off with Sinkoff”, the Capital Region’s only local afternoon sports talk show. Sinkoff spent the last 3 years as the Sports Director for WTEN-TV. He is currently a regular contributor on TW 3, Time Warner Sports Television Network.
Sinkoff came to the Capital Region after 4 years as the Weekend Sports Anchor at WTKR-TV in Norfolk, Virginia and one year at WNEP-TV in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Prior to that, Sinkoff spent two years as the Sports Director at WDTV-TV in Clarksburg, West Virginia. During his 2-year tenure in the Mountain State, Sinkoff won two Associated Press Awards for “Best Sportscaster” and “Best Sports Operation”.
Sinkoff started his broadcasting career as a sports producer for WJZ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Baltimore, Maryland. He got his first on air job at Cable News 21 in Rockville, Maryland. There, he served as the Sports Director for 3 years. For three years, Sinkoff was the radio voice of the UMBC Retrievers—doing play-by-play for men's basketball and lacrosse.
Sinkoff was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. He lives with his wife, Francine, in Delmar.
