
Brian Sinkoff is the host of “Sound-off with Sinkoff”, the Capital Region’s only local afternoon sports talk show. Sinkoff spent the last 3 years as the Sports Director for WTEN-TV. He is currently a regular contributor on TW 3, Time Warner Sports Television Network.
Sinkoff came to the Capital Region after 4 years as the Weekend Sports Anchor at WTKR-TV (CBS Affliate) in Norfolk, Virginia and one year at WNEP-TV (ABC) in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Prior to that, Sinkoff spent two years as the Sports Director at WDTV-TV (CBS) in Clarksburg, West Virginia. During his 2-year tenure in the Mountain State, Sinkoff won two Associated Press Awards for “Best Sportscaster” and “Best Sports Operation”.
Sinkoff started his broadcasting career as a sports producer for WJZ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Baltimore, Maryland. He got his first on air job at Cable News 21 in Rockville, Maryland. There, he served as the Sports Director for 3 years. For three years, Sinkoff was the radio voice of the UMBC Retrievers—doing play-by-play for men's basketball and men's lacrosse.
Local sports are very important to Brian. He was part of the WTKR sports team that won 2 Virginia Association of Broadcasters (VAB) awards and a Mid-Atlantic Region Emmy for their work on “The Locker Room Show”, WTKR’s high school football show.
Sinkoff was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. He lives in Delmar with his wife, Francine, and son, Zachary Samuel - who was born June 27th, 2008.
